Description
Four steps lead you up to the stable door and into an open plan studio layout with a triple bunk. There’s a kitchenette, TV, comfy seating and a warming woodburner. What could be nicer than relaxing in front of the woodburner and enjoying a drink with your friends or partner after a fun-filled day exploring the area? In a separate room within the hut and completing the accommodation is a shower room. Outside is your own decked area where you can dine alfresco, a lovely place to enjoy breakfast and a coffee, or a cold drink and a meal in the evening sunshine. The centre of Haltwhistle is within easy reach and has an abundance of pubs, restaurants and takeaways, a good alternative if you’re too tired to cook! Well located for touring Hadrians Wall a short drive will take you to the wall with Vindolands, Birdoswald, Cawfields Cragg and Housesteads all waiting to be discovered. The small market town of Haltwhistle is a vibrant place, offering a wide range of shops and other amenities. Home to The Black Bull a proper, old fashioned pub, serving quality food and real ale the village is a welcoming place to return to following a day of walking, pony trekking or cycling. With the Pennine Way and other great cycle routes and Bridleways running nearby, it's easy to enjoy this stunning scenery, which boasts dramatic castles, surging rivers and beautiful forests. Those interested in the country's history are sure to enjoy a visit to one of the best preserved stretches of Hadrian's Wall, only a mile north of the village, and with an ongoing dig on the site of Vindolanda, it's easy to get in touch with the nation's past. If history isn't your cup of tea, then there is a regular train and bus service in to Newcastle and Carlisle, meaning that you can leave your car behind and enjoy the nightlife the big cities have to offer.
