The town of Laugharne is brimming with history and culture. It has an astounding castle which can be seen from Spring Garden Cottage. It is the home of the well-known poet Dylan Thomas, you can visit his Boat House and the shed where he used to write a lot of his impressive work, or why not pop into Brown's Hotel, previously frequented by the poet, and enjoy a drink and chat with the locals. Surrounding Laugharne there are no less than five theme parks for you and the family to enjoy, as well as the seaside towns of Tenby, Saundersfoot and beaches at Amroth and Pendine. A charming, beautifully decorated cottage in the heart of a busy, bustling town.

Laugharne, with its majestic castle standing on a low ridge overlooking the wide Taf River Estuary, is famous for its associations with the poet Dylan Thomas. Beautiful walks in and around the castle, with breathtaking views of the estuary, can be followed by cream teas in tea rooms, a drink in the local pub or shopping in the gift shops and mini market. The nearby sandy beach at Pendine is where many land speed records have been famously set on its stretch of beautiful sand, and a little further afield are the seaside resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot. With walks in all directions, great days out at castles, mills and craft centres galore, this is a perfect base for all the family, at any time of the year.
