Description
Upon entering you will be welcomed by a sitting room home to leather sofas and a multi-fuel stove, ideal for a cosy night in. To the other side, a kitchen is well equipped and makes a homely setting to prepare your favourite meals before resting at the nearby dining table. Follow the stairs and a family bathroom awaits, hosting a free standing bath and a shower for your preference. The all white fittings complement each other well, and this is a lovely place to relax at the end of the day. A king-size bedroom brings an almost traditional touch to the retreat, where you can peacefully read a book before laying down to sleep. Further along the hallway, a twin bedroom is laced with pretty bedding and accessories. A pub, restaurant, hotel with bar and restaurant, shop, chip shop, and tea room/cafe and all just a few short yards away, and Brough Castle is only a short stroll. Although there is no outside space, sandwiched between the North Pennines AONB, the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Lake District, this is a walkers paradise. The market towns of Kirkby Stephen, Penrith and Appleby are all within easy reach. A wonderful cottage with plenty to explore at your own leisure.
The town of Brough is situated in the Eden Valley, at the foot of the North Pennines. Visitors can explore the many walking opportunities and cycle routes nearby. Adventure into Penrith, Appleby and the Howgill Fells, enjoy a drink in Tan Hill, England's highest pub, or take a ride on the Settle-Carlisle railway. This is a wonderful holiday location, with the whole of the Lake District National Park in easy reaching distance.
