There is fresh water fishing just around the corner which is great It also benefits from the popular town of Stranraer being close by, embrace its fine architecture, wealth of amenities and picturesque harbour. Nature lovers can visit the Galloway Forest Park that's just a short distance away, offering the visitor a myriad of scenery-filled paths and trails, some fascinating wildlife and much else to do. This welcoming Leswalt cottage serves as an ideal base for friends, families and couples alike. The property is also ideally located for attractions such as the corsewall lighthouse, the mull of Galloway, Creetown gem rock museum and The cocoa bean company. Laggan Outdoor Activities is about an hour’s drive, great adventure for children a bit older. Zip wire, grass sledging, clay pigeon shooting, scooters etc. Lots of activities. Good café too. All of which are a short drive from the property. The Mull of Galloway, the most southerly tip of Scotland, is about 20 miles away and has wonderful views, a nature reserve managed by the RSPB, a lighthouse and a restaurant. About 45 minutes drive. There are special events so it’s a good idea to check their website. Galloway Forest, half hour away, you can’t miss out on exploring this wonderful forest! It has so much to offer. Amazing walks mountain bike riding wild goats red deer scenic drives and much more. There are 3 visitors centres each offering lunches or snacks. Soleburn Garden Centre is only 5 minutes away. Lots of lovely plants, gifts and a great café with outdoor seating area. Swings and slide area for the little ones.

A village in Dumfries and Galloway near Stranraer. Leswalt provides a shop and a pub, there is also a playing field and a golf course nearby. Stranraer is three miles away, offering a range of amenities as well as the Town Trail, museum and a harbour. Further afield, the Galloway Forest Park, has views and walking and cycling paths.
