Turn right on the towpath and there is a pub on the corner offering excellent home cooked food and turn left along the towpath to Stroud Brewery A further 15 minutes walk along the canal westwards you reach the amenities of Stroud, this wonderful market town is brimming with individual shops and eateries as well as the famous Farmers' Market. As well as this marvellous town, you can visit other popular spots such as Gloucester with its cathedral, historic docks and waterways museum. Cirencester with the Corinium Museum, Water Park offering many water sports and with the Luxury De Vere Spa. Cheltenham is also well worth a visit with its music, Jazz, Literature Festivals and the famous races, which can be easily reached on the train from Stroud.
