This high-quality retreat benefits from traditionally Scottish reverse-level accommodation; the ground floor comes with two very smartly finished bedrooms, the double room features wonderful picture windows looking across the countryside. A modern wooden staircase takes you up towards an open-plan living room; its up-to-date furniture, welcoming sitting area and well-equipped kitchen make it the perfect layout to kick back and relax when you're not out exploring this fine region. To the outside of The Granary lies a lovely peaceful garden; both a lawn and a gravel area provide plenty of seating to enjoy a drink or an alfresco meal under the sun. Take the soothing stroll into Morebattle where you will find a butchers, a useful convenience store and a superb pub serving food with fine rural views. Close by, the towns of Kelso and Coldstream benefit from a range of different amenities whilst both offering a number of things to keep you busy. Fascinating day trips are promised in Northumberland as it has the Northumberland National Park, Bamburgh and Alnwick, with the lively city of Newcastle also within driving distance.
