Description
This traditional cottage has two bedrooms, a double and a single, together with a shower room upstairs. Downstairs there is a spacious sitting room with comfy seating and a dining area with a modern and fresh well-appointed kitchen with a useful utility area. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms both serviced by a shower room. Outside, there is a rear patio area with furniture, so you can make the most of warm summer evenings and enjoy some alfresco dining or simply relax with a glass of something cold after a day walking on the mountains. Blaenau Ffestiniog itself has good amenities with a selection of independent shops, pubs, eating establishments and tea rooms, there is even a cinema all within a five minute walk. There is superb access to Snowdonia from here with an abundance of walks and cycling trails, Antur Stiniog’s downhill mountain bike centre is less than a mile away and the largest mountain bike trail centre in Wales, Coed-y-Brenin, just a twenty minute’ s drive. Blaenau Ffestiniog also hosts Zip World Titan and Caverns and Bounce Below, all located at Llechwedd Slate Caverns. The world-famous Ffestiniog narrow gauge steam railway, from the town centre will take you through some of the most spectacular Snowdonia scenery to the bustling harbour town of Porthmadog, always worth a visit. The Italianate village of Portmeirion is definitely worth a visit and there are miles and miles of sandy beaches all within easy reach. With so much to see and do there will be something to please everyone!
The fascinating town of Blaenau Ffestiniog is situated in a superb position for exploring the Snowdonia National Park. There is a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat. The main local attractions include Zip World Slate caverns, the longest zip line in Europe and fastest in the world, this is a great underground adventure. The slate mines - where visitors can take enthralling underground trips to see mining as it was done in days gone by - and the famous narrow gauge Ffestiniog mountain railway which runs for 13 miles through the Snowdonia National Park to the harbour town of Porthmadog.
