Plum Tree Cottage in Porlock was formerly part of an old coach house and stables the stone mounting block in the garden indicating the history of the property The cottage is approached by footpath through the garden from the private parking area The front door opens into the hallway a large sitting room is to the right with plenty of comfortable seating for 6 guests plus a selection of games and puzzles in the storage bench The kitchen-dining room is to the left of the hallway and is fitted with all new appliances French doors lead onto a patio area beside the cottage making al fresco dining a breeze On from the kitchen is a downstairs double bedroom with en-suite bathroom bath toilet and and hand basin There is also a downstairs toilet with hand basin off the hallway under the stairs Upstairs there are two bedrooms both with en-suite shower rooms consisting of toilet hand basin and shower The upstairs bedrooms are one double and one twin There are three bedrooms in total two doubles and one twin Sleeps up to 6 guests in three bedrooms cot One double bedroom downstairs with en-suite bathroom no shower One double and one twin bedroom upstairs both with en-suite shower toilet no bath Additional downstairs toilet with hand basin Modern kitchen-dining room with French doors that open into the garden Spacious sitting room Off-road parking for up to three cars Private and enclosed garden Towels and linen provided Wifi heating and electricity included Dogs welcome 2 max for supplementary fee of 15 per dog Short walk from the village of Porlock Great access to walks from the front door Arrive from 4 pm Depart by 10 am Dogs Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement maximum of 2 A supplementary fee of 15 will be added to your invoice per dog Please do not allow your dogs on the furniture or upstairs a stair gate is provided to help with this and please do not leave them alone in the property at any time Smoking Plum Tree Cottage is strictly non-smoking Local amenities The village of Porlock is less than 1 2 mile from Plum Tree Cottage and boasts three pubs two grocery shops a traditional local butcher chemist cash machine petrol station hardware shop visitor centre and a range of independent restaurants shops and tea rooms The harbour at Porlock Weir is approximately 1 5 miles further on from Porlock There are two restaurants a pub and a range of individual shops such as tea rooms and Exmoor Glass Many of the shops in Porlock and Porlock Weir are open during traditional hours of 9 am to 5 pm although hours are often extended during the summer season Conversely some shops also reduce their opening hours out of season Minehead is the nearest town approximately 6 miles from Porlock Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations Tesco Morrison s and Lidl are both situated on the outskirts of the town and have longer opening hours most major high street banks with cash machines plus a range of other shops throughout the town Arrival and departure The property will be ready from 4 pm on the day of your arrival Please depart by 10 am on the last day of your stay Please leave the property clean and tidy so that we can guarantee it will be ready on time for our next guests Changeover days Plum Tree Cottage is available for week-long bookings and short breaks with changeovers on Mondays and Fridays
