The Treasury is a luxurious Grade II listed, ground floor cottage on the historic and private estate of Wolterton Park.
Aptly named from its origins of the building where the money was stored and where Lord Walpole and his butler stored cash and the accounts, The Treasury forms the south side of the entrance lodges and was designed by Thomas Ripley. Today it is a romantic retreat complete with period furnishings and tasteful Persian carpets, tapestries and artwork, and selected by the Times newspaper for one of the top 50 best holiday homes in the UK.
Offering a truly unique experience with the option of concierge services, beauty treatments on-site and an award-winning chef available to cook for a special occasion, you are sure to feel refreshed and pampered during your stay. Set on a grand private estate with 150 acres of parkland and a lake, you can enjoy many lovely walks within the grounds with its abundance of natural flora and fauna. Wolterton Park offer canoeing on the lake, horse riding, archery and clay pigeon shooting all on-site; and tennis; golf and a rural Georgian pub are also nearby. Wolterton Park hold regular classical music evenings as well as art courses throughout the year that you will be able to enjoy whilst onsite.
Situated just six miles from the North Norfolk coast and close to the historic and thriving market town of Aylsham which hosts two weekly markets and many community events throughout the year.
