The Stables is one of two adjacent cottages enjoying an elevated position from the village of Minchinhampton which offers stunning views of quintessential Cotswolds valleys and is blessed with some award winning cafes and restaurants, a local butcher, organic dairy and farm shop.
Minchinhampton is a picturesque limestone Cotswold village nestled on the Cotswold escarpment. Surrounding the village is Minchinhampton Common, a large expanse of open ground with superb views of the Stroud valley. In the summer months, cows roam freely on the common and occasionally wander into the village streets.
The Stables is one half of a refurbished Cotswold stone working building, and has been refurbished to reflect and respect its working heritage, complemented by contemporary fittings and furnishings. The entrance is via a covered, cobble stoned cart shed, where there’s a fabulous dining table and chairs for guests at both The Stables and The Coach House to enjoy - perfect for an al fresco meal.
Inside the property is a well-equipped kitchen and dining room, complete with all mod cons including a Nespresso coffee machine along with a dining table with chairs for eight guests. The sitting room has a large, wall-mounted Smart television, and you’ll find some charming touches throughout, including a restored hay manger and a window seat and cosy floor heating in every room on the ground floor. Upstairs, the property has two inviting bedrooms, both with superb and spacious en-suites, one of which features a large walk-in shower and the other a romantic roll-top bath. The stables theme continues into one of the bedrooms, with reclaimed saddle holders as clothes rails, along with a wire locker wardrobe.
The Stables at The Lammas can also be booked with pet-friendly The Coach House to sleep eight guests in total, please click here for details and availability.
Both properties enjoy their own private outside space and guests can join together for al fresco dining during the warmer months at the large outdoor dining table with benches in the atmospheric covered cobble stoned area. If you're feeling energetic, you are invited to book the hard surface tennis court during your stay.
Sorry, no pets.
Due to the age of the building the stairs are marginally steeper than normal.
There is an unfenced pond in the private part of the garden, some 300m from the property, along with a chicken coup.
