Details

Built in the 16th century, this characterful Tudor farmhouse on the outskirts of rural Huntingfield boasts an open-fire, a large garden, and provides superb access to nearby footpaths.

Hill Farm House is a half-timbered farmhouse with very few straight lines and an abundance of quirky features befitting of the property's age, offering guests a rare glimpse of a bygone age. Downstairs, the kitchen is compact but well-equipped and benefits from a separate dining room with a beautiful beamed ceiling. There is an open-fire in the sitting room and french doors lead out to the rear garden, ideal for al fresco dining on a sunny day.

Upstairs, the layout is a little unusual with the stairs guiding you directly into the first doorway of the master bedroom, with its beautiful exposed beams and king-size bed. Leading out of the master bedroom the bunk beds are accessed via a traditional Suffolk landing. From here, bedroom two with its double bed and the delightful family bathroom with its luxurious, free-standing bath and separate shower are also accessed.

Due to its unconventional layout, Hill Farm House is offered to four guests with use of the master bedroom and a choice of either the bunk-beds or bedroom two with its double bed. However, should a group of six guests wish to use all the beds, this can also be requested, subject to an additional charge.

The property is a short stroll along country lanes from the village of Huntingfield and less than half an hour away by car is the sensational Suffolk Coast, including the popular seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold.

Additional Information:

Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge).

Travel cot and high chair available on request - please bring your own cot linens.

The stairs, in keeping with the character of the cottage are very steep. Stair lift available.

The double bedroom and family bathroom are accessed via a traditional Suffolk landing (with bunk-beds) from the master bedroom.

Please note guests can have the option of using either the double bed or the bunk beds – please state your request on booking, if both are required, there is an additional cost of £30 per night which can be selected at the booking process.
