Wow, what a location! New Chambers is the historic wing of Hunstanton Hall which is moated and hidden away in some of the most beautiful ancient parkland you will find on this part of the coast. Whether you are a history buff, a birdwatcher, walker or simply someone who fancies experiencing the private Le Strange Estate, you will love this listed property which was built in 1879.
Previous guests have described it as 'elegant yet cosy' - its collection of old local maps and prints adding character and ambience. Hunstanton Hall was owned by one of the equerries to King Henry the Eighth and one of its more recent famous visitors was the author P.G. Woodhouse who used to write his books sitting on a punt on the moat.
Set over three floors this stylish house comes with three spacious bedrooms; decorated with a nod to Victorian Interior Design in the 1870s, a charming sitting/dining room opens through doors onto a pretty interior courtyard. The house also has a separate secluded lawn garden. Found at the end of an attractive hawthorn hedge lined drive, you will adore the privacy, tranquillity and space this delightful letting provides, affording you the opportunity to relax and unwind in a unique setting. Staying in New Chambers you can experience a little of how it might feel to live in an historic stately home.
Despite its tucked away position, it is only a short cycle ride or 3 minutes’ drive from Old Hunstanton with its lovely beaches, pubs, restaurants and shops. Food lovers will enjoy a meal at The Neptune, a Michelin starred restaurant or the welcoming Lodge Hotel a short walk away; and those more active will appreciate a walk along the coastal path or a round of golf on the renowned championship links course at Hunstanton Golf Club which is rated as one of Britain’s ‘Top 100’ courses.
