Details

A splendid fully refurbished detached 17th century country cottage, with wonderful views across undulating grazing meadows to the front and rear. With beautifully furnished, comfortable interiors, Evergreen is an absolute winner.

Located in the pretty, sought-after village of Thornage, Evergreen has traditional brick and flint frontage and perimeter walling. Sympathetically restored, and extended at the back with a garden room to make the most of the south facing sunny aspect and garden view, this lovely cottage will not disappoint. Whilst some character has been retained, with an odd beam and barn-style doors, it is fully modernised with double glazing and underfloor heating, and has comfortably stylish, well thought out interiors. Entering the cottage via the garden room, an inner hall way opens to a well-equipped galley style kitchen to one side and a useful boot room and utility area to the other. Straight ahead an archway leads into the open-plan living space with sitting area at one end, and dining area to the other, with an open fire to light, creating ambience and warmth when needed. A ground floor king-size master bedroom is beyond the dining area and has an en-suite shower, which makes Evergreen ideal for multi-generational families or two to three couples holidaying together. Upstairs are three additional bedrooms (king-size, double and a twin) and a family bathroom. The delightful private garden at the rear of the cottage runs down to a small stream, and is a lovely relaxing place to be on a sunny day, listening to the gentle trickle of water, and spotting an odd fish or two swim past.

Evergreen will appeal to all manner of holidaymakers, whether it's couples and friends looking to enjoy a break together, as well as a family or two. The location of the cottage offers a peaceful base, and easy access for exploring both rural and coastal North Norfolk, whether it's on foot, bike or car.
