St Edmunds Church, 13th century and Grade II listed, boasts a wealth of historic heritage and has been sympathetically restored to create a perfect romantic escape for couples or friends wanting to experience the history and mystery of this unique holiday home.
The ancient stained glass mullion windows and exposed beams set the scene from the very moment you step into the open-plan living area. Once used by the village of Fraisthorpe, this stunning retreat is thriving with character and is complete with a bespoke handmade, well-equipped kitchen, featuring a dining table with seating for four guests made from the original church font. The sitting room has two comfortable sofas to snuggle up on whilst absorbing the original features found throughout the church during its restoration; and with underfloor heating from a ground-source heat pump, you can be sure of a warm Yorkshire welcome, whatever the weather. However, to really appreciate this amazing space, take the stairs up into the eves where you will find two delightful bedrooms; the master double bedroom overlooking the entrance hall; and the second double bedroom with its own romantic balcony.
Just four miles south of Bridlington, this unique property offers itself to you as soon as you turn into the road leading to the famous Fraisthorpe Beach, boasting endless and far reaching golden sands. The East Riding Village of Fraisthorpe is home to what is said to be the very best beach in Yorkshire along with the nearby dramatic cliffs of Bempton. Following the road to Fraisthorpe Beach, the Cow Shed Tea Shop serves home-cooked food or take away coffee to enjoy while you stroll along the sands in the cooler months, or have a full beach day soaking up the sun in the height of summer.
