The Pump House is a bijou bolthole dating back to 1864, offering excellent accommodation for two on the outskirts of Cawston. A lovely couple's retreat in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, The Pump House is open for short breaks or longer holidays all year round.
As you enter the property, the owners have made a wonderful feature of the well, from which water was pumped for use at the Station when it was still in use (hence the name!). Open-plan and cosy with underfloor heating, the well-equipped and modern kitchen spills into a dining area and cosy sitting room with comfy seating. The bedroom has a king-size zip and link bed, which can be made up into twin single beds on request, and the wet room has a large walk-in rainforest shower. Outside is a small, sunny, private terrace with garden furniture and parking.
The Pump House is a great, all seasons hideaway to explore everything Norfolk has to offer. With beautiful countryside on your door step, you are only a few minutes' walk from pretty Cawston, with its village store, pub and deli. Very close by are Reepham and Aylsham, both traditional, unspoilt market towns with independent amenities. The National Trust’s shining jewel, Blickling Hall - a magnificent Jacobean house with stunning gardens - is a short car journey away, as are North Norfolk's Blue Flag beaches and the Norfolk Broads.
