A beautifully furnished traditional 1890's detached brick and flint cottage with two cosy wood burning stoves and fully-enclosed landscaped garden. Set in the pretty village of South Creake, it's just a few minutes from Burnham Market and a 12 minute drive to the glorious North Norfolk coast.
Duck Cottage is a pretty and spacious traditional Norfolk cottage which is well located for exploring and enjoying everything Norfolk offers. Furnished throughout with quality furniture and bedding, both the sitting room and dining room have cosy wood burning stoves to snuggle up in front of when the days are cooler, whilst upstairs you have a choice of three attractive bedrooms, two spacious King-size beds and one bunk room. The safe and fully-enclosed rear garden has a large lawned area and terrace with garden furniture and being south-west facing you can enjoy the sunshine whilst the children and dog play to their hearts content.
South Creake boasts a large village green, two tennis courts which you can hire, a playing field and children's playground, music school where you can book and enjoy regular classical concerts and a spectacular church. There is a good village pub/restaurant; The Ostrich Inn where you can book a table and enjoy more formal dining or relaxed dining and pizza's alfresco during the summer months. There is also a vegetable stand selling produce from the local allotments plus eggs and fresh dressed crabs and samphire when in season. A stream runs through the village which is home to the many ducks that make South Creake their home - hence the cottage is aptly named. On the first Saturday of the month visit the neighbouring village of North Creake when you can visit the bustling farmer's market, but all year round Creake Abbey has plenty of shops.
There is off-road parking for two cars at the cottage.
