With beamed ceilings and pamment tiled floors, the cottage has been sympathetically furnished in a traditional country style with furniture, rugs and soft furnishings that complement it beautifully. The well-equipped breakfast kitchen is fully-fitted with oak units, and enjoys light from windows to two sides, as well as a glazed door to the garden, which it also overlooks. There's a cloakroom cupboard in the kitchen too which is a rather quaint feature. From the entrance hall, steps lead up to the sitting room, which is a snug and restful room; the perfect place to relax by the wood burning stove on an autumn evening as the nights draw in and there's a good series to watch on the television. The stairs to the first floor landing are not too steep and thankfully straight; a rare, rare thing for a Norfolk cottage! From here there are steps leading up and down to the three inviting bedrooms (double, twin and bunk), each one on a different level. The family shower room sits on a separate level too and has a large up-to-date walk-in shower cubicle that's big enough for two - ideal when there are little ones to bathe and pop to bed. The garden is at the back of the cottage and in true cottage style is reached across a shingle path that's shared with neighbouring properties. Just the spot for sharing a bottle of local wine, and some delicious local goodies purchased at nearby Creake Abbey's farmer's market, as the sun goes down on the day.
10 Burnham Cottage is a super holiday home for either families or friends looking to enjoy both rural North Norfolk and the nearby coastal resorts, be it for a short break or a longer one. This is a truly charming cottage from which to explore everything that this beautiful area has to offer.
