A characterful cottage, built in the traditional Carrstone that this area is famed for, Ken Hill Cottage is a superb option for couples and small groups that are looking to explore this wild part of the West Norfolk coastline. Time spent at the cottage will reveal it to be a private location that is both peaceful and well-equipped. The open-plan sitting room, with access to the enclosed rear garden, is both spacious and comfortable, perfect after a busy day on the coast. Snettisham also provides several excellent places to dine and is only a short drive from the Sandringham Estate.
Split over two floors, comprised of the living areas on the ground floor, with bedrooms on the first, this bijou cottage comes with everything that you’ll need for a relaxing stay. In the comfortable sitting room, you’ll find a wood burning stove, Netflix enabled smart television and glazed sliding doors that lead you outside. The same room also contains the dining area, with seating for four guests. Two tranquil bedrooms have also been curated, the master offering a king-size bed, the other a twin, both of which are dressed with white linens. The bathroom that serves them is on the ground floor and features a bath with electric shower over it.
Outside, you’ll have ample room to park the car off-road at the front of the property. To the rear, there is an enclosed garden with mature hedges that offers a private space that is ideal for both children and dogs. Here you can use the charcoal barbecue and the seating provided long into those heady summer evenings.
Over several years, Snettisham and Ken Hill has played host to BBC Springwatch and Autumnwatch and a large part of the area is now being rewilded as a part of the Wild Ken Hill Project. This a project of national significance and something that will lead the way for others to follow.
