Details

Tastefully modernised to a high standard, this cosy retreat includes features such as pine panelled doors, underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls. The thoughtfully decorated sitting room with its period fireplace leads you through to the well-equipped kitchen with integrated appliances and granite work surfaces and a dining area, ideal for spending time together around the dining table after a busy day exploring the North York Moors. The stairs lead you to the first floor, home to the large master bedroom overlooking the front of the cottage, and of course, views across the Ampleforth valley and hills beyond. The second bedroom offers rear garden and woodland views for a peaceful outlook. Both have access to the delightful and spacious family shower room.

Outside, the front garden is laid to lawn featuring a large stone-flagged sun terrace. The rear enclosed garden with woodland to the back has a stone paved area and steps leading to the elevated seating area, the highest one enjoying those special views to be savoured over a glass of wine or a morning coffee.

Enjoy a romantic night out in one of the many eateries nearby including the Black Swan at Oldstead, a Michelin-starred pub made famous by Tommy Banks, just four miles away. Tommy Banks also has the Michelin-starred 'Roots' in vibrant York; or pop along to The White Swan, just a two minute walk away from the cottage and perfect for bar food with space to eat outside on a balmy summer's evening.
