Details
The generous accommodation lends itself perfectly for family holidays or groups of friends, with four bedrooms over both floors and three bath or shower rooms.
Full of character and charm, Apple Mill, once a cider barn, boasts original beams throughout and benefits from plenty of light brought in from the large windows. Downstairs, the large family sitting room enjoys a feature wood burning stove, a beamed ceiling and plenty of comfy seating. French doors lead out to a private terrace with garden furniture and barbecue. The country kitchen is large enough to accommodate a dining table for all eight guests and includes a range cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. Also on the ground floor are two of the four bedrooms; one with a king-size bed; and a twin room, both sharing use of the ground floor shower room.
Upstairs, the beautiful master bedroom with its vaulted ceiling, has use of a luxurious en-suite bathroom with a roll top bath and separate shower. A second first floor bedroom provides another king-size bed and its own en-suite shower room.
Wander outside to the lovely, sun-trap courtyard garden for an evening drink or barbecue, and tucked around the corner is a fabulous hot tub, where you can enjoy the twinkling stars in the night sky.
Apple Mill is idyllically situated within glorious Devon countryside, four miles from Sidmouth in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near the Jurassic Coast, the UK's only natural World Heritage Site. On the doorstep is Venn Ottery Common and the Otter Valley, where you can enjoy traditional Devon countryside walks. Or request use of the two bicycles available to guests, and explore the area on two wheels.
