Pateley Bridge is a small market town in North Yorkshire, England. Boasting The Oldest Sweet Shop In The World, with the bestselling sweets being the Yorkshire mixture, raspberry bon bons and a retro mixed sweets jar. Nidderdale Museum had displays which focus on rural life, inclduing a cobbler's workshop, a Victorian parlour and a 1930's hairdresser's shop.
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

We enjoyed our stay at Silver Hill cottage very much. The cottage was very comfortable, well equipped all round - kitchen and the rest. Moira (owner) was warm and helpful whenever we got in contact. We also appreciated the attention paid to C-19 measures - very reasonable and reassuring. A cottage we would be happy to stay in again, never mind the walking available from the doorstep.
