Location Details
Praa Sands is a small village resting on the south coast in between Helston and Marazion. It houses a Post Office and general stores, beach cafe with fish & chips, a beach/surf shop which overlooks the mile-long stretch of sandy beach. It also houses a Golf and Country Club which offers wonderful sea views.
Reviews
This place might look like a large garden shed from the outside, but inside it has been furnished and decorated to a very high standard. Everything we could possibly need was there, from face flannels to a top sheet on the bed so we could throw off the duvet. The welcome pack was a pleasant surprise, with Bucks Fizz, scones, jam, cream and biscuits. There was milk in the fridge and the canisters on the worktop contained tea, coffee and sugar. Outside, on the sun terrace there is a table and chairs and also a couple of sun loungers. It’s a sun trap there and as we were there during a heatwave we didn’t sit outside very often. The owners were welcoming and very friendly and this is their first letting season since buying the property. They live in the main house, which has a 1 bed annex that they also rent out. It is a 10 minute stroll to the beach at Praa Sands, and 5 minutes to a small shop. It’s central to many tourist attractions such as St Michaels Mount, Penzance, The Lizard, Helston, Mousehole, St Ives. Nowhere is very far away. A car is essential and there is an off road parking space. I would highly recommend this accommodation
