So at first glimpse looks amazing, but its a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures. the view out to the harbour is nice if your seeing it from the sofa in the front room, if you were to sit outside on the balcony you would see what can only be described as the pubs dumping ground (see pic attached) there is an extractor fan from said pub that sounds like its going to take off. lots of noise on the road that the bedroom's face including staff from the pub who think its okay to be shouting about at 1am in the morning. We were super unlucky with the people staying above us, music on all day and into the early hours but i guess that's no fault of the flat we were in.
We stayed at this well appointed apartment in Weymouth harbour at the beginning of September. Unfortunately, because of it’s location next to bars and restaurants it’s very noisy throughout the day, and more importantly for our holiday throughout the night. A combination rowdy patrons, booming extractor fans and skips being filled and emptied of bottles all night and into the early hours, meant that we had little sleep for the week that we were there. Sykes Cottages with whom we booked , don’t seem inclined to amend their property description to provide more accurate information for guests and of more concern have not yet published my review.
The apartment was clean, modern, and well equipped and located right next to the harbour and beach perfect for our week stay in Weymouth. The balcony feels very private being set back from the buildings below makes it feel very spacious. There is a full-size fridge/freezer, and the kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, mixing bowls for preparing any meals and the beds are really very comfortable. There is a 30Mbps PlusNet internet connection and smart TV for rainy days should you have any and even though it isn’t massive the view of the harbour makes it feel massive. Perfect size for a family of four. If I had any feedback it would have been nice to have a broom to help tidy up after cooking dinner.
