Brook Cottage is a traditional stone fronted holiday cottage on the outskirts of the popular seaside village of Criccieth on the Llyn Peninsula. It has been lovingly restored and cheerfully decorated to make for the ideal family seaside pad. You’ll be surprised how much space there is - it really is a tardis! Generous, bright rooms and a great enclosed rear courtyard for dining al fresco provides everything you could need for a relaxing break in North Wales. The sitting room is bright and airy but feels cosier for the electric fire which is surrounded by comfy sofas and a statement wing-back chair (which is delightful to sit in!). There’s a TV and DVD Player too. The open plan kitchen-diner is also bright and has a modern feel. Skylights mean light floods in this room, making it such a happy space to cook family meals in! The kitchen is compact but perfectly appointed with a dishwasher, fridge freezer, separate fridge and electric range cooker. Don’t fear, there is a washing machine in the utility area which is just off the kitchen! The dining area has plenty of space with a table and plenty of seating for everyone. Ideal for a family breakfast where you can discuss the exciting adventures that lay ahead for that day. On the ground floor there is a shower room with large cubicle, hand basin and loo. There is one good-sized double bedroom with direct access to the rear patio and to the Jack and Jill bathroom which also has a door to the main hall. In here there is shower, hand basin and loo. There’s a further double bedroom and a twin room, too! An excellent bonus is the dressing / reading room just off the master bedroom. This room has a double sofa bed that can be made available upon request. The enclosed garden is to the back of the cottage and has a paved terrace and outdoor seating. Sit out here and soak up the sunshine with a glass of wine and a book - bliss! Whilst we love this holiday cottage, the location is equally loveable! Criccieth has a buzz that only comes from a seaside village and there’s plenty to see and do whether it’s spring, summer, autumn or winter. You’ll find shops, places to eat, walks, a beach and a castle all within walking distance! Venture further afield along the Llyn Peninsula to Abersoch or Nefyn for some more brilliant beaches and walks. Definitely consider heading over into Snowdonia and getting the most of two popular regions in North Wales whilst you’re here - it’s not far away! Please contact Menai Holidays 7 days before your arrival if you would like use of the sofa bed.
Often described as the 'Pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia’, this delightful seaside town is situated just 5 miles from Porthmadog. The town’s 13th century castle perches majestically on a rocky outcrop, dominating the skyline and offering superb views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains. Watersports enthusiasts will be delighted by the two beaches, whilst walkers and bikers are spoilt for choice by the proximity of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. Stroll along the beaches, watch porpoises playing in the surf, or relax in the various pubs, restaurants and tea rooms, sampling the famous Cadwalader’s ice cream. Further afield, attractions such as Portmeirion’s wonderful Italianate gardens, the Ffestiniog railway in Porthmadog, Harlech Castle, Caernarfon Castle and the beautiful beaches and renowned golf courses of the Llyn Peninsula are all within an easy drive.
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
