Little Hawthorn is a converted 18th Century grain loft and the owners have shown great sympathy in reflecting its history. Care has been taken not to over restore and much pleasure derived from the idiosyncrasies of the house. The eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary creates a comfortable yet interesting environment. From the high street, double gates open along a carriageway, still part cobbled, to a slate flagged yard. The yard and outbuildings below are filled with vintage collectables and memorabilia which may prove hard to resist for any visitor! "Vera, the owner, really should be given an award for the work she has done in Menai Bridge and Little Hawthorn is another of her little gems. It is quirky, fun and right in the centre of the town." The apartment entrance is at the top of a flight of stone steps, close to cafes, restaurants, artisan traders as well as a Waitrose at the top of the hill. Menai Bridge town itself is steeped in history and within a short walk is the Menai Strait and Telford's magnificent suspension bridge. This holiday apartment is an ideal base for exploring Anglesey, as well as the mainland in North Wales, accommodating the needs of both the town and country enthusiast. It is indeed a little gem, a truly bohemian experience.
