Located in an elevated position overlooking the Menai Strait, with stunning views across the water and to the mountains beyond, is this idyllic semi-detached holiday house with gardens to match the views. Ty Mawr is just magical, with a small stream meandering down the garden, leading through the meadow style lawn and naturalistic plantings to several areas to sit and enjoy your surroundings. Ty Mawr, on the south east corner of Anglesey, is in a great spot just a short drive to plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. Menai Bridge is just five minutes along the coast, and Beaumaris is the same in the opposite direction. Be sure to visit the Janet Bell Gallery in Beaumaris and the superb Central Bakery. Menai Bridge also has lots of shops, cafes and award winning restaurants. Just a hop and skip from the house, The Gazelle is a really great spot to sit and watch the boats bob up and down while enjoying a drink or a bite to eat. In the opposite direction, you are in Llandegfan where there is a local convenience store.

Ty Mawr is a fabulous contemporary holiday cottage overlooking the stunning Menai Straits, with gorgeous views across the water to the mountains of Snowdonia beyond. The garden is just as idyllic with its winding stream, naturalistic nature and a choice of seating areas to soak up the surroundings. Inside it’s decorated with flair and care and will make a great base for a family looking for a holiday cottage on Anglesey. The kitchen is modern and has an electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and KRUPS coffee maker. The washing machine and tumble drier are in the garage. The dining room has a table and chairs to seat up to six people. Heading into the sitting room, you’ll find comfy sofas and chairs and a Smart TV. The owners have recently installed sliding glass doors opening on to the patio to make the most of the stunning views, as well as, a new wood burning stove for chillier evenings. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, all with TVs. One with a king size bed and en suite with a shower, loo and wash hand basin. A double room and a twin room. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, loo, wash hand basin and heated towel rail. The pretty garden has a patio area at the rear of this semi-detached cottage with steps that lead down into a beautiful, spacious meadow style garden that has small stream, well, an area laid to lawn, pathways, fruit trees and a variety of seating options to choose from so you can enjoy the views. This is a garden that’s ideal for all ages and tastes There is also a courtyard at the back of the house with a bench seat, parking for two cars. Ty Mawr is located on the south eastern corner of Anglesey and a short drive will take you to shops, pubs and restaurants. Menai Bridge is only a five minute drive along the coast, and Beaumaris is the same distance in the opposite direction. There is a pub within walking distance, which is ideal for a meal out or drinks overlooking the Straits. Walks, cycle routes, attractions and places to eat are all close by. It is an ideal base for a holiday and is great for exploring this beautiful island. It has a strong history which can be discovered in the Menai Bridge Heritage Museum, the well known Saint Tysilio lived on Church Island, just off of Anglesey in the 9th century, hence the name of the 14th century St. Tysilio's Church. Menai Bridge itself offers a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. In terms of entertainment, this is an ideal spot with something for everybody, there is the butterfly palace 'Pili Palas' which is incredibly popular with families, as well as the astounding Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens well worth a walk around. The Snowdonia National Park is within driving distance for you outdoor enthusiasts, it has wonderful walking, cycling and opportunities to see some beautiful sights. Nearer to the town, there are some incredible places including the popular towns of Beaumaris and Caernarfon with their majestic castles and much more to do.
