10 Cove View is a beautiful, coastal apartment that looks out across Capstone, towards the Landmark Theatre with lovely views of the sea, positioned in the North Devon town of Ilfracombe. Perfectly positioned for strolling into the town centre, it is the ideal base for a family holiday or two couples looking to get away, offering two allocated parking spaces slightly down the hill, a rarity for properties of this size in Ilfracombe. Step into a roomy hallway that leads into entering the bright and stylish living room. Californian shutters and crisp white walls reflecting the East- West sunlight that pours through the floor to ceiling windows and patio doors. Step out onto the balcony and drink in the superb views as you sip a replenishing drink and enjoy the magnificent sunsets drifting across the sky. Move through to the dining area from the living room and tuck into a delicious meal cooked up in the kitchen, catching up on the day you've just had and making plans for further adventures during your stay. From the kitchen are patio doors to another small balcony, which offers views towards Hillsborough, the coastal path and the bustling harbour. Follow the stairs down to the lower ground floor bedrooms and find a twin with zip/link beds and patio doors out to an enclosed courtyard garden, ideal for enjoying your morning coffee with a good book. There is also a lovely king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room and a family bathroom, where you can indulge a hot soak in the deep bathtub, on return from a long walk on the coastal path. You are very close to all the town has to offer, including shops, restaurants, Damien Hirst's statue Verity and the Ilfracombe Observatory. Just a short walk from the little beach in the harbour and the historic Tunnels Beaches. For surfers and those who are seeking the large expanses of sands that this coast is famous for, Woolacombe and Croyde are both within easy reach. With Exmoor National park also on the doorstep, what more could you ask for?

Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Every holiday let accommodation should be to this standard. I can highly recommend 10 Cove View, let’s get that right upfront. We had a week in Ilfracombe for the first time and as a family with two teenage children I can’t think of a better place to have stayed. The standard of the décor and furnishings is very good and the photos definitely do it justice. The location is ideal. 50 metres up the hill take you to the High Street and 50 metres down gets you onto the front with a short walk from there to the harbour or the coastal path. It was ideally placed. It was very helpful to have access to a dedicated parking space right across the road too. No long treks just to get to the car! The layout of having the bedrooms below the kitchen and living room isn’t an issue, there was barely any awareness of noise from the street. The views from both balconies, particularly the living room, give you great skies whether it’s sunrise, sunset, sunny or stormy. The view from the kitchen gives a unique glimpse of the nearby church with the lighthouse beyond it and the coastguard cottages in the very distance. Once you see this from the perspective of the headland, you realise what a remarkable view you’re seeing from the apartment. And in that apartment you can see that this is an owner with attention to detail. There as initial supplies of everything to get you started including dishwasher tablets etc. This person is an experienced host and it was appreciated. The kitchen is very well-appointed, as are the bathrooms. The towels are much higher quality than you get elsewhere. The bath is worth a mention, it’s huge! Luxury relaxation guaranteed. The cleaning service deserves a mention too as you’ll find the place spotless when you arrive. One thing we’d not done before was manage TV viewing through a games console and yet it worked really well. Lots of streaming services are enabled by the host or you can sign yourself in if you want to. It was all rather convenient. We felt very prepared when we arrived because we’d had clear, comprehensive instructions from the host by email including key codes etc so nothing was left to chance. The guest manual is also well put together and provides usable information. I doubt many people visiting Ilfracombe had a better place to stay for their August Bank Holiday week than we did.
