Scalby is a village on the north edge of Scarborough in North Yorkshire, close to the coastline and a number of sandy beaches for family day trips. The village offers a store and a small selection of pubs, restaurants and a tea room. With easy access into the thriving town of Scarborough and only a few miles drive away from the historic town of Whitby for a plethora of historical attractions.
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

The cottage is lovely and clean. But needs some TLC to the bathroom touching up painting work, and bottom of the stairs. A checklist Is needed when guests leave. Our tv just gave up.The iron didnt work .The owner came out and basically said everything was okay. Yes turn the tv off at the mains turn it back on then works great...Next door the neighbours. They had problems also. Feel the owners taking on to much!!! Properties and a pub. Cleaners need to clean . Thanks for your welcome pack lovely but unfortunately the lemon cake was dated 30th September. We arrived on the 4th October. Love the other touches bread bacon milk.. Just check out your properties before others go in..... Check your electrical items please. We vacuumed but they needs your cleaners to replace the filters and bags doggy smells big style.
