Teignmouth is in South Devon on the Teign estuary, boasting a harbour, beach, Victorian pier, sailing club, diving centre and sea activities. The seaward side of the town, ?the Den?, has Georgian buildings, an area with lawns, play areas, tennis courts, a bowling green, and a lighthouse. The opposite side holds fishing boats and beach huts, plus views of Shaldon and Dartmoor. Teignmouth hosts folk and jazz festivals each year, the town and Shaldon hold carnivals and regattas. Close to Teignmouth is the Dartmoor National Park, the city of Exeter, plus the nearby harbour towns are worth exploring.
