Located in the popular Cornish hamlet of St Issey, Sunflower Cottage offers a great base for exploring the North Cornwall Coast. Its proximity to popular locations such as Padstow and Newquay, as well as plenty of beaches, makes the cottage a winning choice for walkers or families. Step into Sunflower Cottage and you will find yourself in the hall area, with plenty of space for hanging coats and leaving your walking boots. From here you will see the bright, open-plan living area, with the kitchen and dining area to the back and sitting to the front. This sociable space is ideal for relaxing after an action packed day; lounge on the sofas and discuss the day’s antics, plan tomorrow’s adventures around the dining table while enjoying a hearty home cooked meal. The kitchen overlooks Sunflower Cottage’s back garden. A tidy, enclosed area furnished with a table and four chairs – a great place to while away the last of the summer sun. Upstairs are the two bedrooms and family bathroom. The bedrooms consist of a double bedroom and a twin room. The cottage lies in St Issey a rural hamlet with a popular pub, the Ring O’ Bells Inn. Wander into the village for a filling dinner or why not head over to Padstow and sample some of the delicious fresh seafood? The town is either a short drive from St Issey, or an hour’s walk along the mostly flat Camel Trail. Further afield you will find 11 beaches within easy driving distance of the cottage, including those of surfing haven Newquay. The hamlet of St Issey has a church, pub and village shop, and is located 3 miles from Padstow. There are a number of top quality beaches within 5 miles and the South West Coast Path winds its way through some of Cornwall’s best coastal scenery. Padstow with its famous restaurants, tranquil harbour and interesting shops should not be missed, and the Camel Trail is a great choice for walking or cycling from Padstow to Bodmin. Take the ferry across the Camel estuary to Rock, go surfing at nearby Polzeath, visit up-and-coming Wadebridge, or enjoy the fabulous Eden Project (20 miles) - the perfect base for a perfect holiday.
