This one-bedroom property is ideal for anyone looking for a retreat, who enjoy exploring the great outdoors on foot or bicycle, with the surrounding area known to boast many hiking and cycling trails. This characterful, light filled open-plan living space, boasts high ceilings and beautiful original wooden beams. Enjoy incredible views across the Peak District National Park from the window as you prepare delicious meals in the compact but well-equipped kitchen. Rest on the inviting sofa and enjoy a film on the Smart TV, or a glass of wine and good conversation beside the warmth of the fire. The king-size double bedroom rests beneath the open eaves and boasts more character beams making the room feel spacious and bright, with ample storage, a dressing table and a shower room with a walk-in shower. Spend time outside on the patio area just opposite the property, complete with a seating area making it ideal for an alfresco lunch as you soak up the views. Just across the road from the property is The Fleece, a superb gastropub serving delicious food. The village is very popular with walkers, hikers and cyclists; close to several reservoirs and hiking trails that allow you to spot a variety of wildlife, as well as being within easy reach of the Hope Valley via Woodhead Pass, where you can take on the walks at Winnats Pass, Mam Tor and the Great Ridge, taking in attractions like the Blue John Mines along the way. The Pennine Way is on the doorstep with many local walks as well as the opportunity to spot arctic hares and plenty of different birds and wildlife to enjoy. The market town of Holmfirth is just over two miles away, where you will discover a host of shops for picking up any essentials, as well as pubs with with on site breweries and excellent food, attractions such as the Ashley Jackson Gallery and yearly food and drink festival, folk festival, art festival and film festival. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
