Location Details

The attractive village of Ingleton is nestled beneath Ingleborough, one of the famous Three Peaks on the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Offering a wide range of shops, pubs and places to eat, the winding streets of this pretty village all converge on a central market place. A mile outside of Ingleton and down the Hawes road are the well-known White Scar Caves. Open to the public, these caves display a huge number of caverns full of stalactites and stalagmites, with one cave home to a huge underground lake. The superb 'Falls Walk' offers an interesting circuit which takes in some of the impressive cascading waterfalls of the area whilst the proximity to both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake distract make this an excellent place for walkers.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

Reviews

Another great week at the cottage. It is well kept and cosy with plenty of room for 4 people. The welcome pack is always welcome. The weather was very hot but the cottage was nice and cool. We do the Ingleton Falls walk each year and several others during the week. Malham cove was wonderful as was the Ingleborough nature trail and caves. If you like a good and varied choice of drinks the Old Post Office is a must. Adam & Rob make you feel really welcome. The local CO OP has virtually everything you will need for your stay.

My husband, mother-in-law, puppy and I all stayed at corner cottage at the beginning of April and we lovely our stay here. The cottage has everything you need for a break away and is within walking distant to a variety of eateries and local walks such as the Ingleton waterfall trial. Upon arrival the owner had left us a food basket containing the basics for our stay (bread, milk, tea, coffee, hit chocolate, sugar, cheese and crisps) and also left our pup some treats, poo bags and dog bowls which we thought was a lovely touch. The cottage itself was very clean and provided plenty of space for our stay with parking on the roadside next to the cottage. We would definitely return here! Food recommendations in the area are Berties of Ingleton for breakfast and both Mason's FreeHouse and The falls bar and cafe for tea as they all had lovely food.

We have stayed in a variety of cottages in Ingleton over the years and this is our favourite. It's really close to the centre of the village, dog friendly and the perfect size for a couple or small family. When we arrived there were a few nice little things waiting for us from the local shops to get us settled in - a nice touch to make our stay a little more comfortable.
