Set amongst the lovely rolling Dales countryside, this cosy cottage provides the ideal retreat for those seeking a truly get away from it all break, boasting great views from most of the rooms, together with wonderful walking opportunities from the doorstep. This delightful cottage is full of character and charm throughout, including old ceiling beams, sash windows and the original stone flagged floor. The sitting room is cosy and comfortable with a multi-fuel stove, ideal to relax after a hard day’s walking on the nearby fells. The well-equipped kitchen and dining area boasts a multi-fuel stove and is a great place to sit around, prepare sumptuous meals and catch up on old times. Two double bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and one with twin beds as well as a modern bathroom, all come together to provide a wonderful stay in this charming cottage. Outside, the private frontage has a lovely bench on which to relax and soak up the sunshine, and to the rear of the property there is a small enclosed, shared yard suitable for sitting out. There is fantastic countryside to all sides, from where you can explore the area of Wensleydale, often described as one of the most beautiful areas in the Yorkshire Dales. The one mile walk from the back door, downhill on the paved path through the Hay Meadows to Hawes is one not to be missed, and guests can enjoy a good choice of pubs, places to eat and picturesque teashops in this popular market town. This attractive cottage is a great touring base from which to discover the Ribblehead Viaduct, Three Peaks, the village of Dent with its brewery, the attractive old market town of Sedbergh and the castles at Bolton and Middleham. Leyburn is another town not to be missed, and over the hills, Kettlewell and Grassington are all just a short drive away. An opportunity for that well-deserved break in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
