On the road leading to the delightful centre of Harlech is this lovely detached house offering a rural retreat close to the sea. Glyn Morfa enjoys beautiful mountain views, resting within the Snowdonia National Park, making it a great choice for a group of avid walkers or a family with a love of the outdoors. Step into the handy boot room to take off any muddy shoes, before stepping into the sitting room; slate floors lie beneath plush grey sofas for you to sink into after a busy day. A choice of beautiful antique-style furnishings adds an elegant air to this bright and homely space with a gas fire to add some warmth on a cool evening as you enjoy a film on the TV. Gather around the long farmhouse dining table for a hearty breakfast in good company, with a great range of appliances to assist you in all your culinary endeavours, this spacious and lofty room even has handy storage built into the original fireplace. To the back of the property you can discover the convenient utility room where a washing machine will come in great use after muddy walks or sandy beach days, with a ground-floor shower room here too and a delightful twin bedroom, providing ground-floor accommodation for those with more limited mobility. Take in the views of the mountains as you sit with your morning coffee, and say hello to the cows and sheep grazing in the fields beyond. Find three lovely bedrooms on the first floor; first come across a double bedroom with a cheerful yellow theme and views over the countryside, whilst the super king-size bedroom presents dark wood furnishings paired with jade green accents in the décor, with the bed placed before the window perfectly to allow you to wake up with a view. Move into the beautiful shared bathroom which features pretty mosaic-effect flooring where a bath with a shower over offers a pleasant space to freshen up. Lastly find the final bedroom with a double bed and an original fireplace adding a delightful feature, with calming purple decoration. Explore the amazing and imposing medieval Harlech Castle, a stronghold built by Edward I and claiming UNESCO World Heritage status. Golfers will love the opportunity to enjoy the Royal St. David's Golf Club 18-hole course, established back in 1894 and often rated as the best golf course in North Wales. Spend days on Harlech Beach where a four-mile stretch of pristine sands awaits you, as well as stunning views to the Snowdonia mountain range, backed by grassy dunes. Nearby the tourist Italian-style town of Portmeirion provides a wonderful day out, with amazing architecture, sub-tropical gardens and a host of cafés, restaurants and shops to enjoy. Head into the heart of the Snowdonia National Park and visit the charming Blaenau Ffestiniog Railway, with 40-miles of scenic railway you can experience stunning views from the comfort of a traditional carriage, before embarking on your own walking and cycling adventures across this incredible terrain. Lying on the coast of Wales is the lovely seaside resort of Harlech enjoying a great position between the mountains and the sea, it is home to an amazing 13th century castle. This World Heritage status medieval castle attracts many visitors to this quaint town, which is home to a range of attractions including a golf course, a variety of restaurants and cafés, shops and independent boutiques, and of course the wonderful stretch of sandy beach to enjoy.

We stayed at Glyn Morfa for five nights and the cottage is a great size and well equipped with everything you need. It was well decorated and very clean. The garden is well cared for and tendered surrounded by beautiful views. We really enjoyed our stay and will consider booking again for next year.
