Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
My wife and I have just returned from a weekend stay at the cottage and were very happy and very impressed with the property. We had a lovely welcome package which was unexpected but happily received. The property was a perfect size for the two of us, very well equipped and very comfortable and perfect for our needs. The views of the countryside were stunning and there are a couple of nice pubs within walking distance. As it was only a short stay we only met Gwenda who was a lovely person and was happy that we had everything we wanted with the property. The area is nice and quiet and a good place for walks and to get to places like Mold, Llandudno and other places for days out.
We enjoyed our second visit to Ash Farm Cottage, the owners Gwenda and Phil ensure your stay is special. We again had a lovely welcome pack on arrival. The accommodation is very spacious, everything you need is supplied for you and we can only endorse the comments in our previous review. Conwy, Llandudno (plenty of the larger retail shops now) and Rhos on sea are lovely to visit. Mold is still excellent for food shopping with a market on a Wednesday. For a walk we found Greenfield Heritage Park which takes you off the main road and a half hour walk into Holywell. If you want a meal the "Chery Pie Inn" is only a few minutes drive away and is cosy and friendly. Many thanks to Gwenda and Phil for making our stay to comfortable and enjoyable, we hope to return soon.
Ash Farm cottage is a lovely holiday cottage with everything you need for your stay. You find the property down a quiet country lane, there is plenty of parking space and a large garden visitors can use. There is everything you require in the kitchen and utility room - a large fridge/freezer, microwave, electric cooker and a large dining table, You also have a washing machine, washer tablets, an iron and ironing board and a clothes drier. Gwenda and Phil provided welcome packs with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, sweetners, biscuits, crisps, eggs, jams, milk, water and delicious welsh cakes. Also there are two umbrellas and a torch which came in handy when walking to the Crown Pub (10 mins away). Both the ground floor cloakroom and upstairs huge bathroom have hand wash and toilet rolls provided. There are three TV sets,-lounge, kitchen and bedroom. The heating is automatic and we found we did not need to use the fire in the lounge. Upstairs we were surprised at the large bath and separate shower the room is very spacious with beautiful fitting as is all the property. We found a hairdryer and straightners and a bedside clock provided in the bedroom which had huge wardrobes with plenty of clothes hangers. The cottage is fresh, clean, warm and comfortable. If you like shopping... visit the "Tweedmill" St Asaph off the A55 which has a variety of clothing and household items and you can also eat in the cafe/restaurant. Conwy, Llandudno, Colwyn Bay always worth a day trip. For access to large supermarkets Mold has three in close proximity and a good selection of local shops on the high street. We love the area and property and plan to visit again next year.
