Reviews

Overall we did have a good stay, despite construction noise and the house being completely filthy, literally caked in cobwebs from top to bottom. We were accused of breaking a chair, which had a screw loose and was easily fixable. The WiFi was poor which made working remote extra difficult and although we complained, nothing was done/no apology was given. We went during the heatwave, and with the house being made majority of glass, it was like a greenhouse. The fans provided did nothing but blow warm air round. Unfortunately, we will not be back.

Most beautiful house with an elevated view of the lake and beautiful gardens . We loved our one week stay. Interiors are modern and very clean . Great kitchen and tv room and the bedrooms (all en-suite ) were excellent - 2 with incredible views of the lake . Everything felt very luxurious and every effort made to make us feel spoilt during our stay. Kayaking at night was great fun and just sitting on the dock watching the busyness of the lake with a cup of coffee was so good . A short drive in to bowness (not a walkable road) and you were in the middle of everything but loved the tranquility at the house . Building work and a review about a door not working almost put us off but so glad it didn’t because it was perfect and we are so thankful and grateful to have had the chance to stay in such a stunning place . . The building work couldn’t be heard from inside the house and was minimal noise outside . If you get the chance to book this house do it - it’s a beautiful location and special house . Tripped going in front door as there is a little sunken mat area but once we were aware of that it wasn’t an issue at all but worth a little double check when first entering . Cannot say enough about this house - perfect in every way . Thank you Louper Weir you were awesome

The house is lovely and on lake really nice. however we have nothing but hassle trying to claim our deposit back after company we booked through advised there was a seal broke on the door and they couldn't close it. We have tried numerous times to discuss this with them being very unreasonable to discuss and won't allow us to speak to a supervisor. What I find amazing is that doors were all locked when we left and the door in question was a back door on lower level which we had locked full time due to having 3 young children with us for their safety and security for them we always had it locked. We have tried to discuss case and despite them not speaking to us have the cheek to take the 500 deposit without discussing. I would never recommend this place to any of my friends ir family as it absolutely disgusting behaviour to accuse family of lying of this door and not even willing to speak about it or take on-board t could have been the cleaners after we left, they instead just took the money for their own profits
