Location Details
Grange-over-Sands is an idyllic resort town, dating back to the Edwardian Period. Within reaching distance of the Lake District and the sugary sands of Morecambe Bay, the town offers a great touring base for all types of holiday. There are a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants spilling out onto the streets, and many local landmarks and attractions awaiting your arrival. Milnthorpe, Oxenholme and Bowness-on-Windermere are well-worth a visit during your stay.
Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

My husband and I had the great pleasure of staying at Victoria Mount with several other couples. It was an exceptional experience for so many reasons—the views from the front rooms and deck are magnificent; the home has a fully equipped kitchen and dining-room, so we could eat breakfast and dinners together and go out and about all day as we liked; and it has a shared living-room, so we could show our photos to each other on the smart TV or have a movie night together. It was impeccably clean and spacious. We would highly recommend this property to families or friends that would like to holiday together. Also, it is walking distance to grocery shops and the train station and busses, so we didn’t need to rent a car for this UK holiday!! Last, but not least, the owners Jim and Celia were so wonderful, ensuring our stay was an unforgettable experience.
Normally I hope that the accommodation is close to the description for it. Victoria Mount surpasses it! Perhaps one of the most magnificent views of any place we stayed. Our room was well appointed, the common area felt like home but had plenty of room for our large group with loads of places to escape to when things got too hectic. It is very close to all the town has to offer, good food stores, interesting shops and a few restaurants if you do not want to use the fantastic kitchen. Grange over Sands is located at the south end of the Lake District which makes it an easy drive to many attractions. All in all an excellent gathering spot for friends and family. I am a photo geek, so pardon all the pictures.
Victoria Mount is situated in the perfect spot overlooking Morecambe Bay. A stones throw from the village. The house has everything you could need and also, enough of it. 13 ladies ranging in age from 25 to 62 stayed for a three night break to celebrate a 60th birthday. We also had a four month old baby in our party. There was loads of room for us all and we had a wonderful time. Spacious and comfortable and great contact with the owners. What's not to love. Thank you.
