Great location in the centre of town and is close to the shops & beaches. Already booked for next year. Ideal for our needs as base
We arrived here yesterday and so far the accomodation has been very good. We had read the poor review before arriving so were unsure what to expect. I thought I should write to put other's minds at rest, that the house is very clean and the issues mentioned regarding the fridge and cooker have been resolved by the fitting of two lovely, new appliances. It looks as though the owner has put a lot of effort into getting things right and it would be a shame for 1 poor review to damage his business and reputation. The house has only been a holiday let for 2020 and obviously the year hasnt got off to the best start with COVID-19 and lockdown so give ut a chance. So far we have found the beds to be very comfy, the kitchen is really well fitted out and all the furnishings, crockery, cutlery and other household items are of a high quality, better than We have at home! We are looking forward to a lovely relaxing stay in Cranberry, enjoying all Bude has to offer.
This is the dirtiest holiday rental I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. The kitchen is filthy. Never again. We have asked the owner to do something but nothing. The shower is blocked so the water doesn't flow away properly, the shower hose is black with mould, the toilet flush is broken, the kitchen cupboards and drawers are dirty inside and out, we even have a nice collection of dead insects (or possibly dried up mouse droppings?) in one, plus crumbs, spiders' webs etc. The fridge is just rank, mouldy, and the shelves are broken so no storage for upright items such as milk. There is a silverfish in the cutlery drawer. The microwave was dirty, the kettle was grey with dirt and dust. There are missing lightbulbs everywhere. The rotary drier is so dirty that is is unusable, so nowhere to dry wetsuits, towels, swimming costumes, let alone washing. We can't find the hole to put the rotary drier in.The coffee machine is too dirty to use. The oven hasn't been cleaned in months. There is no ventilation in the downstairs toilet (the window is screwed shut). There is a dust cover on the smoke alarm. Only bring a thin car as getting the car into the driveway is really difficult. No radio, broom, vacuum cleaner, DVD player - very poorly equipped. Minimal power points. But we do have a dustpan and brush! All the glasses were greasy and grimy and the saucepans were too dirty to use - I have had to wash them all before using them. Infact I have put all the crockery and cutlery through a hot wash in the dishwasher before I could bear to use them. No chests of drawers in the bedrooms so storage is poor.
