Butlers Lodge, Mayfield

We would highly recommend this accommodation. It’s was amazing. Spacious, clean and beautiful views. The owner made us feel really welcome and made sure we had everything we needed and was close to everything we needed for our weekend away.

We 5 friends were really impressed with everything about this property, the location, set in the Calwich Estate down a long lane, surrounded by countryside views, the standard of the interior, very clean and well maintained, and the host who was so kind to us going above and beyond to make things special for us. We came for a relaxing get away (after a cancelled 60th celebration last year) and were not disappointed. We stayed in quite a bit and the property had everything we needed to cook, relax and enjoy. We can't wait to come back and explore the surrounding area in the future.

Wonderful cottage in beautiful setting. We had a great stay in December, celebrating a family birthday. Comfortable, well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches. The large lounge with sizzling log burner just perfect for a family get together. We loved the Christmas decorations. There are public footpaths to walk on from the property on the Calwich Estate, and so close to surrounding countryside. Can't wait to return!

Spent a weekend here with some close friends and the house delivered in every way. Each room had been beautifully decorated, particularly the master bedroom which had its very own dressing room. The lounge and dining room both had log burners with a fresh supply of kindling and logs which we used both days. Everyone in our party commented on how comfy the beds were and how nice the linen was! Sadly, one member of our party was a little worse for wear and passed out drunk on the bathroom floor and even she had a had a good nights sleep as the floor was heated!!! This is an amazing find and we'll most certainly be back soon!

We had a wonderful stay at Butlers lodge. Jazzy, the host, is extremely accommodating and responds quickly to all questions and enquiries. The house itself is beautifully decorated, the kitchen is simply stunning, beds are extremely comfy and the house is spotlessly clean throughout. We enjoyed a lovely walk around the property in the morning as it is set on beautiful grounds - I’d recommend the local pub ‘The Duncombe Arms’ (if you can force yourself to leave the house itself!!). Thanks for a fantastic stay, we’ll be back again!

A beautiful lodge nestled in the heart of a fantastic country estate. We had a fantastic time with friends here that catered for all our needs - great kitchen/diner, big utility, massive lounge and very comfy and sizeable bedrooms and bathrooms. It was also great to be able to walk through the estate, with great views of the estate lake and River Dove, to the local pub (Duncombe Arms) which has a fantastic menu on offer. Attentive host and a definite luxury feel ... will be back!!!!!

We had an amazing stay at Butlers Lodge, and will 100% be returning! The cottage itself is beautiful and has been decorated really tastefully. The kitchen/dining room is perfect for a group and the lounge is so comfortable and cosy! The bedrooms are great with really comfy beds and all the bathrooms are top notch. We loved exploring the beautiful local countryside and wider estate, there’s so much to do on the doorstep. Such fantastic value for money and the host went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, we loved the welcome hamper! I would highly recommended Butlers Lodge to anyone who wants a cosy, luxurious country retreat.

We had a fantastic stay with friends! Was perfect for a relaxing winter weekend in a beautiful setting! Excellent walks nearby, and a lovely pub within walking distance! The house is decorated beautifully with plenty of space for a group of friends or a family. The host was super helpful and friendly, and we will definitely be booking again!!

We are a regular Airbnb travelers and would rate Butlers Lodge as one of the nicest, best located, and real value of all the places we have stayed. The place was very clean, well decorated, had everything we needed to feel at home! The host (Jazzy) could not have been more helpful and made us feel so welcome. We can’t wait to return...we’re already planning our next visit!

This place is fantastic, lovely setting, great amenities and really nicely decorated inside. The host was lovely, leaving us a welcome pack (even accommodating my pregnant sister in law with some alcohol free fizz!). Hosts responded quickly to any enquires we had - we hope to return here again some day!
