We were lucky enough to have a week of wonderful weather when we stayed in Minnehaha so we enjoyed walks along the coastal path in both directions from the house, but had we been confined to barracks I can’t think of anywhere nicer to hunker down. The cottage is cosy, well equipped and very clean. The little touches which often make the difference were all excellent: quality bed and bedding for a good night’s sleep, a good selection of books and films (and an interesting history of the cottage). The hot water takes a couple of minutes to get used to (it’s absolutely fine if you don’t open the taps more than a trickle, but less than full). The shower is great. The location worked well for us: ten minutes walk to the village pub and few shops etc but far enough out to feel very peaceful. Overall highly recommended.
