The thriving market town of St Austell is located pleasantly inside the lovely county of Cornwall, just a few miles from the wonderful shore. This town provides the ideal environment for your next visit to the Southwest, with busy pubs and bars, delectable local eateries, and a well-thought-out railway station linking you to Cornwall's best places. Spend your days exploring gorgeous places like Menacuddle Well and Gardens or the adjacent historical port of Charleston, with its Shipwreck Treasure Museum.
Reviews
Great accommodation, very clean, comfortable and well furnished. The welcome pack was also a nice touch. Very handily placed for visiting several places of interest, like the lost gardens of Helagon, the Eden project and Truro Cathedral. Also lovely harbours like Mevagissey and Fowey. The only downside was the access. Parking was fine , but the cottage was in a very narrow lane, with no turnaround space. If you have a large car (mine's a 4x4), to exit you needed to reverse down an extremely narrow lane with walls each side, not ideal. Sykes cottages should mention this in blurb on the property.
