Myself and five friends stayed here to celebrate a 40th birthday. It was the perfect weekend away! The cottage was clean, cosy and very well equipped. We all felt extremely welcome, what a beautiful house! A real home from home experience. We had the best time walking, going to the pubs (the food at The Gate was amazing) and simple chilling & nattering around the kitchen table and on the comfy sofas! Would highly recommend! Would definitely come again! Thank you Claire and Garry Lisa Lumbert
We enjoyed a fantastic weekend at this lovely cosy homely cottage. Well stocked and clean with lovely decor. This place is a real credit to its owners. Great location in Brassington which is a pretty Derbyshire village and just across the road from a gem of a pub which serves excellent food. Would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!
We stayed as a group of friends celebrating 2 40th birthdays. We were made to feel so welcome in the village in both pubs and by the people we met as we walked around the area. The cottage is so beautiful and like a home from home. The kitchen is probably better equipped than mine at home and spotlessly clean. We caught the bus into Matlock Bath on one of the days and then walked into Matlock. We visited a lovely bar called the Tipsy Toad which was lovely and had coffee at Sara's which was great too. The text with details of the check-in procedure was very personal and helpful. We'd been looking forward to the weekend for some time and it excelled all of our expectations. We will definitely be back and would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage to anyone. Thank you so much, we'll be back!
