From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?
Excellent accommodation - immaculate and well equipped. Loved the unique interior design and upcycled furnishings! We were a group of three couples, so every bedroom having an en-suite was a real bonus. Beautiful garden with high quality hot tub - we were very lucky with weather so spent a lot of time sitting on the decking. Sally, the host, couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The superb cafe, next door, served extremely tasty food - very busy so best to book. Will definitely be back and will recommend to friends.
Booked this lovely property last October for a party of six, 4 adults + 2 teenagers and was completly blown away with the property and its location. (Everybody had their own space) Not sure what the previous guests had to comment on, yes it is on a road, but with the windows closed at night it was not a concern. Hot tub and pool table were just brilliant after a busy day shopping or treking acrosss the Dales. Sally and Neil were just fab. They should be very proud of their property, clearly a lot of work has gone into this property. Split over 4 floors, this property offers spacious accommodation and an en-suite for each bedroom. The garden was fine for our needs, two well behaved dogs, although if you had a dog that was an escapist they could jump the wall. I think a guest book would be a good idea and surprised there wasn`t one. Mainly so that other guests could share where to eat and visit, and what to avoid. There is just so much to see and do, a week just wasn`t enough. Oh well, we will have to come back again :-)
Three mature ladies, just back from a weeks stay. Didnt realise from the photographs that it was located on a busy main road, none of us have traffic noise at home so found it difficult to sleep as the traffic noise started at 5am. We are all avid gardeners and were disappointed that the planted areas were over run with weeds, the lawns in need of a mow making it difficult to clear up after the dogs. The previous review said that the beds were comfy, we all found that they were very poor quality with doing springs and were tossing a coin to sleep on the sofas after a couple of days there, pillows were rock solid, wish I had taken my own with me. Views from the garden were beautiful and the hot tub was great, took my own bath sheets for use at the hot tub and good job I did as any towels found downstairs were not great quality or big enough. The lounge and dining area was lovely and the quality of paintwork and decoration good, just a shame that the beds, towels etc were not of the same quality. The lawn outside the front door is an absolute sun trap till late in the evening, so some seating area there would have been great. The top floor bedroom is accessed by a very steep staircase with narrow, high treads, this needs to be made clear in the property description as it is not easily accessible for all.
Just come back from a lovely week at Stone Masons House. We were the first guests to stay there and the cottage is absolutely beautiful. The decor and accessories in the different colours really add to amazing cottage. The best bit about the cottage that I liked were the secret big newly done en suites in every room, they are all hidden behind a wardrobe and you wouldn’t know they are there until you open the wardrobes. The beds are really comfy and the garden is gorgeous with the hot tub tucked away overlooking the amazing view. If you also like little boutique shops, little pubs and restaurants there is a town centre near enough on the next street. I once did a Wedding there and it’s a lovely place to go. The owners of this house have done amazing with styling it and doing it up I would recommend to anyone xxxx
