The cottage offers two bedrooms, including a double and twin, plus a shower room, this cottage can sleep four guests. There is also a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with electric fire. To the outside is a lawned garden and off-road parking for one car. 4 Rose Cottages is a fabulous base with plenty to see and do around South Cornwall.

Electric central heating with electric fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, TV and WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Parking for 1 car and further ample parking in the National Trust car park. Front and side lawned garden. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 2.6 miles. Note: Due to the age of the property, there are low beams and ceilings as well as uneven floorboards, please take care
Location Details
Polperro is a large village resting on the south coast of Cornwall; a prosperous tourist area offering plenty of adventure throughout the year. Within the village there are a number of amenities, including shops, eateries and places to drink, alongside a heritage museum, moden village, art studio and a scatter of historical landmarks, and most importantly, the golden sandy beach.

I have been meaning to write this review for some time but haven't got around to doing so until now. We stayed at no.1 several years before staying at no.4 (before having and bringing our child). No. 1 was nice overall and fairly comfortable from what we remember. The same cannot be said for no.4. The mattresses - especially the double in the main bedroom - are nothing short of shocking in terms of comfort and why the owner never replaced these is anyone's guess. I spent the whole week sleeping on the floor (and experiencing the discomfort that this brings) whilst my wife slept on one of the singles in the spare room with the little one, which she said was also hugely uncomfortable. It was also the heatwave, which made for glorious trips to the beach etc but surely some fans for the rooms wouldn't be too much to ask there? The 1-year-old having to sleep in a room at 29/30 degrees was hard going to say the least. This is a shame as Rose Cottages seem generally OK but no.4 has bad memories for us due to a total lack of comfort and apparent unwillingness on behalf of the owner to tend to these issues. Lansallos is an amazing location but we are now seeking rentals outside the village as we feel no.4 Rose Cottages is no longer fit for purpose comfort-wise and we will require much convincing to ever return to it.
