Second time staying here Absolutely love the cottage. Cropton is a lovely village. Access easy to coast and Moors. Pub next door which is very handy! Already booked for next year!
My husband and I have just spent a very relaxing week at this cottage. It is a very cosy one bedroom cottage with a lovely log burner in the living room. The cottage has lovely traditional features such as thick stone walls, small windows and wooden latch doors. The living room has a very comfortable two-seater sofa and a small digital tv and DVD player. There were spare DVDs in a cupboard along with some board games and cards. Neither my husband nor I could get any phone signal so it was actually very nice to be shut away from technology. The cottage is dog friendly so we were able to take our fur-baby along with us. The cottage is located next door to a lovely dog-friendly pub & micro brewery (The New Inn), which served locally produced ales.
We booked to stay here over Christmas, and it was one of the best we have had, this was helped by the cottage allowing dogs. We asked if they could arrange a Christmas tree at a cost and when we arrived there was a wonderful Christmas tree in the living room. We had a great five days helped by the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and the friends new inn opposite that also allows dogs. Looking forward to staying again.
The kitchen is being replaced this autumn and will transform the cottage which is really very comfortable for two people. The garden large and enclosed is great to sit in with lots of birds to watch. The cottage is dog friendly. Wifi would be a good addition and I don't think an extra £10 on a weeks rental to cover it would be unreasonable! The Cropton inn, across the road always good for real ale and food. Plenty of walks from the cottage and close by. Lots do do and see in the surrounding area. Would recommend the cottage for a quiet holiday.
A lovely little cottage with a secure garden and an excellent position for local walks.
The cottage was ideal for us with our dog and the garden was securely enclosed. The village itself was lovely and not too isolated.
A small but cosy cottage, a great place to relax with the wood burner. Great pub next door good atmosphere lovely food. Many place to visit and explore in the area.
A lovely cottage with comfortable, modern amenities but retains the charm and feel of an old cottage. The bed and sofa were very comfortable which was great for relaxing and the cottage garden was lovely.
A lovely place. A truly magical little cottage perfect for myself and my partner who absolutely loved it. She would like to stay again without a doubt. It was comfy, quaint and private. The pub next door, and I literally mean 25 yards away, is excellent. Altogether a magical weekend.
The cottage was lovely, just right for a couple. It was well looked after, the garden was particularly nice, there were lots of birds. It was close to everywhere so there was so lots to do. Had an excellent micro brewery pub literally 60 paces from front door, served great food and the staff were very friendly.
Very good in every way, just what the Doctor ordered.
The cottage is lovely in every way. We stayed with our dog and the garden was the icing on the cake. Situated in the lovely village of Cropton which has lovely walks. Having the pub,The New Inn next door was also a plus. Easy access to the moors and coast this is very conveniently situated.Would certainly book again!!
The cottage was very comfortable and cosy, the garden was a welcome addition. In very close proximity to to a good pub and lovely walks around Cropton. Had easy access to the coast and moors for sightseeing and walking.
The cottage is exceptional in every respect, and is in an excellent location for exploring the North Yorkshire Moors.
A very comfortable, cosy and well equipped cottage. Loved the pub next door too!
We were based in a beautiful location, in a lovely cottage.
A lovely cottage and the location was very good for walks, pub and driving, for example to the coast.
We were very pleased with the cottage, particularly the lovely garden.
We loved the area the local people were very friendly a great place to explore the Moors. The proximity to the pub is a bonus.
The cottage was comfortable and was in a nice location for walking with the dog. The proximity of the New Inn was also a bonus as the beer and food were excellent. The pub was a few seconds walk but there was no noise at all. Would return.
Fairly peaceful location. Lovely enclosed garden was great for the dog, log fire was great. Excellent dog friendly pub just a few steps away.
The cottage has been renovated to a very high standard and is very well looked after. It is cosy, the log burner is excellent and heated the whole house. The garden is well enclosed.
This is the best cottage we have stayed in to date. Ideally situated on the very edge of the North York Moors and right next to, what my husband refers to as, the best pub in the world!! This cottage is cosy and exceptionally clean and well maintained. It has been renevated to a very high standard. We will definatley be back for another holiday, whether it be for Christmas or the upcoming Beer Festival!!! The garden is lovely and enclosed, great for the dogs to roam around in and stay safe. Thank you to the Morris' for making our Christmas break so lovely :-)
Lovely cosy cottage. Excellent location. Would stay again.
Peace and quiet abounded. Fabulous night-time skies, when clear. Magical countryside. Good walks from the cottage, and easy access to the major sights on and around the North York Moors. Superb pub next door serving great traditional food and drinks.
The cottage was excellent and the garden a delight to relax in. The location was very quiet with a decent pub serving excellent food and ale in 'stumbling' distance of the property. We would definitely rent this cottage again, maybe try it in the winter as it would be very cosy with the log burner.
Excellent location, so much to do and see, wish we'd had 2 weeks. The cottage had a truly enclosed garden which is excellent for those with a dog.
Good location for touring. Pickering was a nice town, just about everything you could need is to be found there. Nice pub next door, friendly and good food. The garden was lovely, lots of beautiful flowers and garden birds.
Idealy situated for both dog and husband being next door to real ale brewery and walks right from the door.Lovely enclosed garden - welcome packsof bird feed and dogbiscuits much appreciated. would definately come back.
Very attractive cottage in a good location next door to a very good pub which served excellent beer and food.
The location of the cottage was perfect for walking and exploring the area, with several excellent walks direct from the door. Also, the dog friendly garden was great for us. The cottage was just a few yards from an excellent pub as we had 2 very good meals there, as well as lots of their home brewed ale!
Lovely, homely cottage in a perfect location for us to walk from the door to tour the moors area and coast. Loved the cosy wood burning stove and the enclosed rear garden was a safe place for our dog. Very handy for a great, dog friendly pub which served good beer and food. Have already booked another visit in the spring.
Good cottage for taking a dog as it has an enclosed garden. In good position for walking and good pub in village.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, even the washing up became a joy as there were so many birds in the garden.
The location of the cottage was ideal.
The garden was fantastic with loads of flowers and birds, mums feeding their chicks, washing up became a pleasure! It was really nice to have the barbeque. We really enjoyed the couple of good evenings in the garden. Thoroughly enjoyed staying there.
