A delightful holiday cottage for two in the heart of the Pembrokeshire National Park overlooking Newport Bay on the lower slopes of Carningli Mountain. There are lots of scenic walks in this particularly beautiful part of the National Park. A 15 minute up-hill walk leads to the seaside town of Newport where you will find a range of individual shops, eateries and pubs as well as the Parrog beach. The coastal path can be joined within a 25 minute walk and you can flag down the coastal walkers' bus at the bottom of the hill and enjoy a different walk each day. Enjoy the Carningli (Mount of Angels) and the Gwaun Valley with ancient settlements, ever-changing colours, bluebell woods and wild Welsh Mountain ponies. Make sure to bring your boots and binoculars!

Newport is a beautiful coastal town in Pembrokeshire, south west Wales lying on the River Nevern with a selection of shops, pubs, tea rooms, plus an excellent golf course overlooking the sea as well as a lovely sheltered harbour. Newport lies on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path which is renowned worldwide for its unique landscape and wonderful opportunities to go dolphin and seal spotting. Wonderful coastal walks along the path or in the nearby Preseli Hills with the ever changing scenery are a walkers dream all year round. Learn about history when you visit the mills, craft centres and castles dotted around the county or spend a day at the wonderful Castell Henllys Iron Age Fort where you can learn hands on all about living during that time. See the majestic Shire Horses at the Shire Horse Farm or spend relaxing days on the huge choice of beautiful sandy beaches. All year round this is a perfect location for all the family.

Reviews

We have a small dog and love walks on the beach and countryside therefor the location of the cottage was ideal - with no or little driving needed. The cottage is beautiful, clean and well equipped - very homely! We enjoyed seeing wild horses and bird life from the window or lovely enclosed garden which was ideal for the dog. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, even just popping to say hello and welcomed us on our arrival. Designated off road parking and all the facilities such as shops, restaurants nearby. We especially would recommend Newport beach as it is dog friendly, plenty of parking, toilets and cafe. We will definitely be coming back!!
