Just a mile from Strumble Head and close to Pwllderi, this is one of the most beautiful and dramatic stretches of the Pembrokeshire coastline. This delightful cottage makes a perfect holiday base for two (plus one child) in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. A bridleway/footpath leads you directly to the coastal path and there are lots of beaches and coves along this stretch of the coastline. At various times of the year you can spot seal pups from the cliffs on the coves below or migrating birds. It’s a great place for ornithologists and dolphin spotting and even if you don’t spot anything it’s a splendid place to be. St Davids, Solva, Newgale, Newport, Porthgain, Abereiddy and Whitesands are all within a half hour drive of the cottage. The nearest towns are Goodwick and Fishguard, each with a good selection of individual shops, galleries and eateries.

Goodwick is a picturesque coastal village overlooking the bay where the twice daily ferries run to Ireland. With a variety of shops, cafes, pubs and a small supermarket, it offers everything you need. The twin town of Fishguard is only two miles away, where you will find more unique shops, a delicatessen, pubs, restaurants and the Last Invasion Tapestry, which is based on the famous Welsh ladies' victory over the French and has been compared to the Bayeux Tapestry. Located in such a great coastal position, the Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire section of the world-famous Welsh coastal path is right on your doorstep, so enjoy the scenic walks, outstandingly beautiful beaches, the opportunity to watch dolphins and seals and so much more! From lazy, warm summer days to wild and windy winter days, the scenery is ever-changing and always remarkable. Historic castles, theme parks, art galleries, kayaking, coasteering and boat trips to the islands are all nearby and St. Davids, the smallest city in the UK, with its magnificent cathedral is a short drive away, while the coastal town of Newport, with its fantastic beach, is closer still. A perfect location all year round.

Reviews

This cottage is linked to the farmhouse snd the noise is “extreme”! Literally sounds like they are in the same room. Accommodation needs updating and a very good clean - dead flys in light fittings - very dirty windows - lack of clothes storage - walk in cupboard that was the wardrobe was smelly and damp . Very very overpriced - paying over £1000 fir a week was a complete rip off - would definitely not recommend
