Have come back home today after spending a week at Deer Lodge. It is the perfect place to get away and relax. The lodge has everything you would need while on holiday, not only inside but the outside too. On arrival we had a welcome basket in our lodge which consisted of chocolate, biscuits and a bottle of prosecco and in the fridge was a bottle of milk and some ice cream for us, a very nice touch from the owners. The lodge has a lovely decor, comfortable furniture and king size bed with all your linen, towels and bath robes included. Our hosts Kellie and Steve welcomed us to our lodge and ran through how to use the hot tub and gave us alot of information on places to visit in the area and then they leave you to enjoy your stay. The woodland walks on the property have been well thought out from the seating areas with fire pits to the swing seats and croquet game. After spending the day at local places of interest and a visit to the local pub,The Lambs Green Inn which is a 2 minute walk away from the lodge the hot tub is the perfect end to the day. The wildlife on the land is lovely to see, from the swallows swooping at grass level to the rabbits, deers, the fox and the owners 2 sheep. We got to see the deers every day and sometimes even more than that, it was a pleasure to watch them grazing in the long grass and even coming onto the lawn to chase each other around. Would highly recommend this property and will definitely be returning.Steve and Kellie have thought of everything to make your holiday home and the area it's in so special, so thankyou both for letting us share it with you both. Loved the location, very quiet yet just a five minute bus ride into Wimborne. The pub about a two minute walk away is a Vintage Inn, quite often a chaotic experience but not on this occasion a very warm and welcoming place with friendly locals. Anyhow, back to Deer Lodge and it's such a relaxing place to stay, we booked four nights but could easily have stayed for seven, loved seeing the wildlife and it has everything that you could need for a comfortable stay. Sadly we will have a dog in the next few weeks so it doesn't look like we will be able to return to this property but happy memories non the less.

If I could give more stars I would. I honestly cannot say enough nice things about our stay and about our wonderful hosts. We stayed in the cabin over New Year and it was amazing, the cabin is gorgeous and there were so many lovely little touches, hot tub was wonderful and to go on day 1! Every morning I woke up to the most amazing wildlife (I saw deers and foxes!), there are so many lovely walks around the area and the handbook provided was super helpful, we used it to pick dinner and also visited all the recommend farmshops. I was so sad we had to leave, it really was the most wonderful stay. Thank you everything and I am sure we will back!

Deer Lodge is absolutely stunning. The love, thought, care and attention to detail simply shines through in every area of the property. Kellie and Steve are both welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The welcome basket and Dorsecco was a lovely, pleasant surprise and the contents went down a treat! Cannot think of a better way to spend an evening than in the hot tub with a glass of something and looking at the stars. The surroundings are so peaceful and tranquil, provides the perfect gettaway to escape, relax and unwind.

We have just returned from a weekend at Deer Lodge. We were made to feel welcome right from the moment we arrived. Steve and Kellie had brought my husband a cake for his birthday which was very thoughtful. The Lodge had all the amenities we needed. The hot tub was amazing, especially when you can sit in it and look out at the grounds. In the grounds, there is table and chairs and fire pits dotted around. We saw plenty of wildlife. We saw the deer, squirrels, the adorable baby foxes and their pet sheep and dog. If your looking for a romantic getaway that is peaceful and beautiful scenery then this is the place for you.

Secret romantic hideaway, which is situated in a very quiet and secluded location. Kellie and Steven are excellent hosts, who were both very attentive and welcoming. The property sits away from the road, with acres of land as it’s back garden. Deer lodge is stylishly modern with an homely feel to it; which is very warm and cosy. Lots of light throughout as their are windows in every room, with french doors that leads to your own private patio that has its own hot tub.... We will both miss being in the hot tub under the stars while drinking prosecco, the added robes and slippers that was supplied made it special. We loved the retro record player and vinyls to choose.. There was also board games to choose from, such as monopoly, scrabble, uno etc You do also have a tv in the lounge, with an abundance of shows to select from, as it includes Netflix and amazon prime ... Very well equipped inside with all the needs, such as microwave oven , coffee machine , all the utensils you will need .. toaster , kettle , ironing board and hairdryer. Very comfortable bed in the bedroom, walk in shower in the bathroom. We were also delighted to find some chocolate and cider in the fridge on arrival, even more so the mince pies :) There are also deers on the property, which you will find within the grounds, also outside is a fire pit with seating, and a swing from a tree. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we will be back - maybe in the summer? Dean and Fawne

From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed, this little lodge is in such a peaceful location. Deer Lodge is exceptional, it offers everything you need and would expect from 5 star accommodion. The finishing touches such as the homemade scones, Dorset chocolate and cider really were a lovely touch. Kellie and Steve have created a perfect holiday setting and we will definitely be back.
