A wonderfully peaceful community nestled in the verdant and undulating countryside of West Devon. The village and surrounding area, which is surrounded by lush meadows, high hedgerows, wooded valleys, and plentiful animals, is popular with travellers looking for a true sense of rural living. Roadford Lake, with its sailing, fishing, and visitors' centre, is only 4 miles away, whereas Bude, with its rolling surf, nightlife, and sandy beaches, is only 20 miles away. The RHS Garden at Rosemoor, the Dartington Glass Factory, and Dartmoor's rocky tors and open spaces all offer excellent days out and are all within 40 minutes of each other. If you're visiting Dartmoor, make a point of stopping at the charming moorland villages of Belstone and Sticklepath, which will take your breath away. Those looking for a true rural experience away from the hustle and bustle of city life need look no further.
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
