Even the kitchen enjoys stunning views, with slate floors, classic wooden units and access to the shared utility room. 3rd WC on ground floor. Stairs lead to a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and additional twin bedroom with separate shower room. Carport parking outside the property. Leisure Club membership included. The Troutbeck Valley sits at the start of the dramatic Kirkstone Pass, is a haven of peaceful grazing land, scattered rural homes and pretty woodlands surrounded by many walks. Leading north toward Brotherswater & Ullwater, and south to Windermere & Bowness. So despite your blissful seclusion, you are close to a fabulous selection of cafes, shops, bars, restaurants, walks galore and lake cruises. The village of Troutbeck, has the excellent Mortal Man pub, and the Queens Head Inn, both renowned for their locally sourced food and accompanied by real Lakeland ales. In the village is the National Trust Townend House & Garden, for a quintessential trip back in time to how the Farming family of the Brownes lived, and a lovely local church. There is also a small local shop serving coffee and bakery.
The small Lakeland village of Troutbeck can be found between its more famous neighbours Windermere and Ambleside, close by the Kirkstone Pass. A mixture of houses, cottages and farms, the village is scattered along a narrow lane bordered by a drystone wall. Many of these buildings date back to the 17th Century with features such as mullioned windows and heavy cylindrical chimneys and the northern end boasts its own 17th century inn. Close by, the bustling towns of Windermere and Ambleside are popular with visitors, providing a range of amenities to suit all tastes. Lake Windermere offers boat trips, including the lakeside ferry to the Lakeside Aquarium and Grizedale Forest Park. The ‘Windermere Steamboat Museum’ displays a fascinating collection of boats whilst children will enjoy the ‘World of Beatrix Potter’ in Bowness, where technology brings her characters to life. Within easy reach of destinations such as Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains, Troutbeck is ideally situated for exploring all that the region has to offer.

Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
